  • The partnership will include registration for the upcoming AEO Forums, taking place on the 31 January 2020 at the Business Design Centre, the AEO Excellence Awards, taking place on the 12 June 2020 at Grosvenor House, the AEO Conference, and the FaceTime Exhibitor Masterclasses.
  • The Association of Event Organisers (AEO)  has renewed its partnership with Hiscox, leaders in specialist insurance, for the 13th  consecutive year.

  • A new economic impact report has been jointly published by the Association of Event Organisers (AEO), Association of Event Venues (AEV), and the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) defining and measuring the significance of exhibitions to the UK economy. The research group responsible for producing the report includes Nigel Nathan, MD Olympia London, Austen Hawkins, CEO F2F Events, and Nick Marshall, Executive Chairman GES.

  • The AEO has launched its AEO Forums, which will take place at BDC London on Friday 31st January 2020.

    Having launched in 2006, the Forums continue to focus on delivering content and learning for middle of the building event professionals across key functions within organiser businesses.

  • The AEO Council has officially elected Darren Johnson, chief executive officer of Reed Exhibitions UK, as the next Chair of the Association of Event Organisers. The election, which took place at the AEO Council meeting held on 5th September in Windsor, also sees Simon Parker, executive vice president of Informa, become Vice Chair. Former Chair Austen Hawkins will now assume the role of Past Chair for the forthcoming year.
  • The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) has appointed Kimmie Garrett as head of marketing. Garrett joins the AEO from sister associations, AEV and ESSA, where she has spent the last 18 months advising on their communications plans.
  • The Government has published Health is everyone’s business, a public consultation seeking views on different ways in which government and employers can take action to reduce ill health-related job loss.
  • The Association of Event Venues (AEV) have published the 2019 edition of the eGuide, the document that conveys the best advice, guidance and regulations pertaining to working at UK venues, with the ambition of creating a clearly defined national working environment for organisers, exhibitors and supplier companies.
  • This year’s AEO Excellence Awards was a sell-out event, seeing a record number of attendees flock to Grosvenor House Hotel, for a high-octane industry celebration.

    Stephen Brooks was named as this year’s Outstanding Contribution to the Industry winner, with members commenting on his; pioneering of geo cloning, support to the industry and association, and huge success as an independently owned, global exhibition business.

  • AEO (Association of Event Organisers) has renewed its official app partnership with leading meetings, events, and hospitality management technology provider, Cvent.
  • The AEO Conference is heading to Windsor for 2019. Taking place on 5-6 September at the De Vere Beaumont Estate, the theme of this year’s event is “Live – Survive or Thrive?”
