Senior Marketing Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take a lead role in the marketing of a thriving trade event portfolio. Workspace Design has recently been acquired by Diversified Communications UK & Europe, and we’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager or Marketing Manager to drive the marketing strategy for the London and Amsterdam shows.
The role includes planning, campaign delivery and hands-on execution across both events, working within a collaborative team and as part of a busy, hard-working but fun department. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on marketing experience, an ability to work independently and be highly organised.
The Role:
- Develop plans and implement marketing campaigns to attract visitors to the events and to support exhibition sales
- Copywriting for emails, web pages, brochures, social media and more
- Accurate management of marketing budgets
- Briefing the in-house design team for branding and artwork
- Managing relationships with event partners
- Building HTML emails and management of web content
- Effective use of social media and paid digital marketing
- Managing one Marketing Executive
- Database building and management
- Working effectively with other departments and external suppliers
- Dealing with enquiries from both exhibitors and visitors
- Coordination of registration setup and onsite event delivery
- Post-show reporting and analysis
Your Profile:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- An ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and creative
- Calm under pressure
Skill Range / Person Specification:
- Minimum 5 years’ marketing experience, preferably within trade events, exhibitions or conferences
- Confident using marketing IT systems (e.g. email platforms, CMS, CRM)
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
- Degree in marketing or relevant alternative preferred
- Knowledge of the workplace design or interiors industry is a plus, but not essential
Additional Information:
We know you have options, so here’s why people enjoy working here:
- A role with real ownership — you’ll be trusted to get on with it, not micromanaged
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays — and we close over Christmas and New Year on top of that
- An employer pension contribution of up to 10% — significantly above the statutory minimum and one of the most generous schemes you’ll find at a company of our size
- A discretionary company bonus scheme — when the business does well, everyone shares in that success
- A comprehensive wellbeing package including a cash health plan, EAP, life insurance, critical illness cover, bereavement support, and a contribution towards gym membership or a wellbeing app
- Flexible start and finish times, so you can work around your life
- Hybrid working — a genuine blend of Brighton office and home
- Cycle to Work scheme and Electric Car Scheme
- Ongoing professional development — in-house training, curated programmes, and dedicated self-directed learning time
- A paid volunteering day to give back to a cause that matters to you
- Genuinely family-friendly policies, including enhanced maternity and paternity leave
- A colleague referral scheme — because the best people often know the best people
- Regular social events — from book clubs and game nights to our annual Star Awards and Christmas party
- A two-time Employer of the Year winner (EN Awards 2025 & 2026) — an accolade that reflects how we actually treat our people
Where Could This Lead?
We’re a growing company and we promote from within wherever we can. This role sits at Senior Marketing Manager / Marketing Manager level today, but for the right person, there’s a clear path towards Marketing Director responsibilities over time as the business and team evolve.
