The Opportunity:

We are offering a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join an ambitious team in Phacilitate where you will lead our marketing efforts for large-scale conferences and events.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in planning and executing marketing campaigns for a wide portfolio of B2B products. They will be responsible for the strategic marketing direction and campaign execution of our award-winning conferences, award products and exhibitions within an ethos of collaboration, with each other and our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, ensuring maximum visibility and attendance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing alignment and consistency.
  • Drive innovation and creative initiatives, pushing boundaries to explore new avenues to engage target audiences.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products, market, customers, and competitive landscape to translate into effective strategies.
  • Work alongside our Marketing Operations Manager to utilise data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for creative marketing campaigns.
  • Accountable for allocating marketing budgets and providing accurate, detailed forecasts to the Marketing Director.
  • Accountability of marketing communications to ensure quality, message and individual brand values are maintained and conversions are optimised.
  • Drive audience growth, visitor numbers, delegate revenue and overall customer satisfaction for the events and the digital platform.
  • Work with the sales team to ensure there are a pool of qualified leads to target.
  • Accountability for quality control across all our communication channels, reviewing the brand from the customer viewpoint.
  • Build relationships with key media partners and associations.

Team development and leadership

  • Promote a culture of testing and change to continuously drive strategic improvement, presenting solutions to business heads.
  • Connect and build relationships within the wider business to share best practice.
  • Work with the Marketing Director and operations to build a culture of customer centricity.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team where diverse perspectives are valued, and teamwork is prioritised.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge-sharing to leverage collective expertise and resources for optimal results.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement, recognising and rewarding achievements, whilst supporting resilience and learning from setbacks.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviour:

  • Proven marketing experience in planning and executing campaigns with event marketing experience for large conferences or confexes.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of evaluating and selecting marketing channels, particularly digital platforms.
  • Strategic and creative thinker who can interpret data to produce campaign strategy and execution.
  • Strong project management skills, organised, able to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence.
  • Familiarity with CRM/marketing automation tools.
  • Passion for excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Integrity, authenticity, and honesty.
  • People management skills to challenge and develop through training and coaching.
  • Demonstrated market knowledge and commercial awareness.
