Digital Marketing Manager

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Digital Marketing Manager to join our team at Easyfairs. This role is crucial in enhancing our online presence and driving digital transformation, focusing on our broad portfolio of product (events & media) websites, SEO strategies and PPC campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all three of these areas, especially a strong track record in website management, with a keen eye for the latest trends and technologies.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Website Strategy Development: Improve user experience, boost visitor and exhibitor conversions, and capture opt-in data by introducing innovative trends and approaches.
  • Functionality Support: Oversee website functionalities for regional products, manage plug-ins, and collaborate with HQ to optimise performance.
  • Team Training: Train and support event teams to ensure website quality, adherence to best practices, and a 'website first' approach.
  • SEO Strategy Implementation: Drive new users to websites, upskill event teams on SEO practices, and ensure compliance with regional & group guidelines.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and report on website and SEO activities, making data-driven recommendations to enhance effectiveness.
  • PPC Campaign Management: Execute and oversee efficient online campaigns to generate high quality leads, visitors, exhibitors, subscribers and members.

Responsibilities:

  • Resource Management: Supervise a PPC Executive and a Digital Marketing Intern/Coordinator.
  • Decision Making: Contribute to website and SEO strategy decisions with the CMO and Marketing Director, aligning with event goals.
  • Digital Transformation: Collaborate with event teams to drive digital transformation and optimise the region's online presence.
  • Compliance: Ensure all digital communication adheres to relevant legislation and industry standards.

Key Relationships:

  • Internal: Work closely with the CMO, Marketing Director, Marketing, Intelligence & Technology team, event marketing teams and HQ team.
  • External: Coordinate with third-party website support, freelancers, developers, and SEO agencies.

Tools & Systems:

  • Proficiency in WordPress, Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager is essential; knowledge of any of the following is beneficial: Elementor, Evessio, SEMRush, Google Search Console, Domains, Plugins, Google AdSense, Stripe, WooCommerce, MemberPress and ISSUU.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Higher education or equivalent experience in digital marketing.
  • At least 5 years in digital marketing with 3 years in website management.
  • Strong interest in trends and technologies, technical knowledge and experience in managing PPC campaigns.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
