Credit Controller (Part-time)
We're looking for an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong customer relationships whilst maintaining excellent cash flow management.
You'll be responsible for managing the full credit control cycle—from chasing outstanding payments and resolving queries to supporting our sales and events teams with accurate account information. With strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth financial operations across our customer accounts.

The role includes:

Proactively contacting customers to chase payment of outstanding invoices in line with agreed payment terms

Monitoring customer accounts and outstanding balances, identifying overdue, disputed, or credit balances

Reviewing sales contracts where required to verify invoiced amounts align with contractual terms, particularly when investigating customer queries or disputes

Responding promptly and professionally to customer and internal queries via phone and email

Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and maintaining accurate customer account records

Managing refunds and credit balances where required

Supporting the sales and events teams with account status updates and payment confirmations

Producing detailed debtor reports for each sales team to support financial monitoring and planning

Managing exhibitor insurance administration, including:

Uploading and maintaining accurate exhibitor information on a third-party insurance portal

Updating the portal to reflect changes such as payment status, contact detail changes, or cancellations

Raising credit notes once insurance invoices have been settled, in line with internal processes
Our ideal candidate:

Previous experience in a credit control or sales ledger role

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Confident and professional telephone manner

Strong numerical ability with good general IT skills

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently

Comfortable managing multiple accounts and working to deadlines

Spanish speaker preferable but not essential
