Content Manager
Montgomery Group are currently working on a range of exciting plans to develop our events to connect and inspire our communities. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Content Manager who demonstrates strong creativity. The primary responsibility of the Content Manager is to recruit high-level speakers and to develop the seminar programmes for our market-leading events such as Surface Design Show and Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam. You will also support the wider content offering - both live and digital - to bring our communities closer and drive ambitious growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and deliver event programmes: Define session topics and formats plus source and secure top speakers for Surface Design Show and Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam
- Provide portfolio support: Offer creative and administrative backing for other events, including Independent Hotel Show Munich and Professional Woodworking Expo
- Build and deepen influencer relationships: Identify and engage the top voices in our markets to enrich each event and extend our reach
- Drive year-round multi-channel engagement: Work with the wider Content, Marketing and PR team to implement a content strategy across newsletters, surveys, webinars, publications, round tables, social media and more
ABOUT YOU
We need someone with a creative approach to content development and the gravitas and charisma to mix with the most important people in this sector. Networking and relationship building is key to this role. You will also need to be highly proficient at managing deadlines.
Role Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience of developing and creating content in a range of formats, possibly as a conference or events producer, marketing or PR professional
- Impeccable copywriting and proofing skills
- Ability to analyse and understand a wide range of complex issues and express them in simple and engaging language
- Confidence and curiosity to talk to a wide range of people – on the phone and face to face – and to understand what makes them tick
- Ability and desire to network and develop high level partnerships in the industries we serve (food, drink and design)
- Capable of working independently with confidence in your own opinions and ideas
- Ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders at once – across two divisions within Montgomery Group
- Highly competent in Excel
- Big picture thinking, adaptability and the ability to cope under pressure
- Skilled at Multi-tasking - great organisation and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
- Excellent presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google systems

Hybrid working is offered to all applicants with a minimum of 3 days in the office, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Core hours are 9-5pm but flexibility outside these hours will be required to suit the needs of the business.
