Commercial Manager

We are recruiting for a full time Commercial Manager to join the team on one of our most successful trade events, The National Restaurant, Pub & Bar Show (formerly known as Casual Dining). This major award-winning exhibition for the hospitality industry attracts over 8000 visitors each year to ExCeL London. Co-located annually with lunch! – The Contemporary Food To Go Show, you would secure exhibitors and sponsors, for this fast paced and dynamic industry event, with many of our clients offering important innovations for the sector. 

This is a dynamic, results-driven role for someone confident in phone-based selling, passionate about building strong client relationships, and skilled at turning interest into long-term commercial success. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue through proactive outreach, strategic account management, and securing exhibitors and sponsors.

Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail are essential, along with a proven ability to convert leads and close deals in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-level business meetings with top industry brands
  • Deliver first-class account management to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Cultivate new business leads and convert them efficiently through phone-based selling, email or face to face
  • Attend relevant industry trade shows to represent the brand and generate leads
  • Hit individual and team sales targets consistently
  • Proactively pitch and close sponsorship opportunities
  • Collaborate with other departments such as operations, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless delivery of client requirements
  • Curate impactful sales emails and reports
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Create engaging LinkedIn posts to support sales and brand visibility
  • Use Salesforce to maintain the sales pipeline and generate reports for management

Our ideal candidate:

  • Currently working in a Commercial Manager role or similar, with a proven track record of converting leads
  • Experience in the events and exhibition industry is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Hands-on, positive attitude and a collaborative team player
