Event Operations Lead - Europe

We're looking for a Events Operations Lead to join our team in London as part of our Events function.

Your Role: Your role will sit within the Ascential Operations Team to manage the efficient and creative delivery of all event operations of Money20/20 Europe. You will be a core role both in the lead up to and during the onsite delivery of the show. You will also support the Event Operations Lead for Money20/20 USA.

This role will require you to travel to both Money20/20 Europe and Money20/20 USA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take on the full operational delivery of the event; devise and manage an operational plan to cover full process from concept to planning and then delivery
  • Ensure problem free planning, build-up, open days and breakdown for the event in full collaboration with event suppliers
  • Formulate and control the operational budget in partnership with the Head of Show Operations and the finance team
  • Provide operating advice and assistance to the sales, content and marketing teams working with them to ensure their onsite requirements are flawlessly delivered
  • Manage floor plan layouts in partnership with the commercial operations lead ensuring they are correct according to all venue and H&S regulations and are in line with the event strategy
  • Work in partnership with the Head of Show Operations and the procurement team to ensure procurement of suppliers achieved for full event requirements
  • Ensure effective control and monitoring of health and safety standards at the event
  • Continually provide the best possible customer experience for our sponsors and delegates
  • Line management of event operations executive

Your Experience

  • Proven experience in large-scale international event experience at operations manager level, essential
  • Health & Safety training including IOSH qualification, preferable
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and implementation skills with focus on detail
  • Able to think creatively and come up with bespoke ideas
  • Negotiation and financial/budget management skills
  • Ability to work in a high-performing, fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated, accountable and sets own goals
  • Good communications skills and great customer service
  • Patient, calm and composed under pressure

Special Requirements

  • As this role supports across shows across the different time zones, alternative work hours will be required, as necessary
  • This role is essential to the onsite delivery so it is necessary that the successful applicant is able to travel, including but not limited to Singapore, Thailand, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and United States of America.
