This working group aims to build a collaborative network for improved event security through common standards, knowledge sharing, coordinated threat response, training, crisis management, and policy advocacy.

About the Security & counter-terrorism (SaCT) working group

The group aims to build a collaborative network that standardizes and enhances industry-wide security through six key pillars:

  • Standardisation: Develop consistent protocols for venues, organizers, and suppliers.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Pool resources, tech, and experiences for continuous improvement.

  • Threat Response: Enable faster, intelligence-led reactions to emerging risks.

  • Education: Create joint training and certification programs to ensure high-quality practices.

  • Crisis Management: Align stakeholder communication and operational protocols.

  • Advocacy: Drive legislative change and clarify "Martyn's Law" responsibilities.
