Pure Shanghai joins forces with ChinaÂ's leading fashion event CHIC

i2i Events Group has confirmed that the second edition of Pure Shanghai will be held in partnership with the China International Fashion Fair, CHIC, China's largest and most influential fashion trade show.  The co-located, three day event will take place from 13 – 15 October 2015 at the newly-built National Exhibition and Conference Centre in the Hongqiao District of Shanghai, where CHIC has recently held its 23rd edition.

CHIC's biannual show welcomes over 1,000 brands each season, across menswear, womenswear, children's wear and accessories.  The shows feature insightful business forums, seminars and workshops as well as a vast offering of brands, and aim to serve as a B2B platform and as a bridge into the Chinese consumer market.  This opportune partnership with CHIC will see Pure Shanghai as the dedicated and exclusive area for international womenswear and accessories brands, as part of the CHIC event, allowing them to showcase their collections to key buyers, agents, distributors, franchisers and licensing partners in China. With the reach and influence of CHIC and Pure, the partnership hopes to attract more international brands and key Chinese brands that are becoming integral to the global retail landscape.

The inaugural Pure Shanghai event in 2014, which was born out of the success of the long-established flagship show Pure London, welcomed over 50 British and international brands and numbers are set to increase.  For the 2015 event the global style intelligence and trend forecasting company WGSN will work closely with Pure Shanghai to deliver insight and trend analysis on the Chinese and British fashion markets to further develop the show's success.  WGSN is part of Top Right Group and has a long-established Chinese business.

Mark Shashoua, i2i Events Group CEO, comments, “I was delighted to be present at the signing ceremony for this new partnership at CHIC, last week. We look forward to working with the CHIC team to take Pure Shanghai from strength to strength and to build on its reputation as a recognised and trusted platform for UK and international brands to reach the Chinese fashion retail market, which is fast evolving and full of opportunities.â€'

Mr Chen Dapeng, Executive Vice President of the China National Garment Association (CNGA), commented, “We are extremely excited to be partnering with i2i Events Group to help deliver the Pure Shanghai concept as part of CHIC.  We have been impressed with the initial steps that Pure Shanghai has made into the Chinese market and believe that we can now create the fashion destination for the growing retail industry.â€'

Pure Shanghai will continue to work with the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) to deliver matchmaking sessions for UK exhibitors.

Ends.
