NEW FESTIVE EVENT SET TO GET THE REGIONÂ'S CASH REGISTERS RINGING
A new Christmas fair is set to boost the North West's economy by up to £3m as it makes its debut in the region this November.
The Ultimate Christmas Fair, which takes place from 26 to 29 November at the brand new Exhibition Centre Liverpool, is expected to attract around 25,000 visitors from across the North West over the four days.
Featuring stands from both high-end retailers and local businesses, live demonstrations and an exclusive Festive Food Hall, the event will act as a one-stop-shop for those looking to buy quality, distinctive gifts for the festive season.
With each visitor expected to spend an average of £150, it's hoped that the event will also lead to a spike in trade for neighbouring bars, restaurants and hotels.
Sharon Burrell, event director at family-run LXFX Creative Productions – which is managing The Ultimate Christmas Fair – said: “We're very excited to be bringing top-class retailers to a city that embraces new events and experiences, and most importantly, loves to shop.
“Our exhibitors include established names in fashion, food, luxury goods and fine art, as well as smaller, more niche brands with one-off gift ideas. The event will give shoppers the chance to peruse the crème de la crème of the festive market, offering them unusual and original gift ideas for the whole family and they can get it all in one place.â€'
LXFX Creative Productions has previously organised over 200 events and exhibitions since it began trading in 2003, with The Ultimate Christmas Fair being its debut consumer retail show. Exhibition Centre Liverpool, which is the new addition to ACC Liverpool – home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena – opens its doors in September and will feature over 15,000 square metres of flexible event facilities.
Amy King, senior exhibition sales manager at ACC Liverpool, said: “We're so pleased to have The Ultimate Christmas Fair on board. This will be one of the first consumer exhibitions and it highlights the diversity of events at Exhibition Centre Liverpool.â€'
Now, organisers are eager to meet with companies that might be interested in showcasing their ranges at the event.
Managing director of LXFX Creative Productions, Steve Burrell, said: “We chose Liverpool because it's one of the fastest-growing regional economies in the UK and has around two million consumers. However, the city is also a real ‘hub' for the North West, so we're confident that it will bring in visitors from some of the most affluent areas in the region.â€'
Steve added: “We've tried to make The Ultimate Christmas Fair different from other festive exhibitions; for instance, retailers will get the chance to promote their products in our Creative Studio, where they can inspire shoppers with gift ideas, cooking demonstrations or wrapping masterclasses.
“Stands are booking up fast, so we're keen to hear from any brands looking to find out more.â€'
Consumer tickets go on sale in September and stands are available to book now. For further information, contact The Ultimate Christmas Fair team on 01323 330 400, email sales@theultimatechristmasfair.co.uk, or visit www.theultimatechristmasfair.co.uk.
