New appointments at i2i Events Group further strengthen the executive team
i2i Events Group has made two new appointments to its executive team as part of the Group's strategic move to a brand-led structure, to deliver growth objectives and gain market share.
Louise Young takes over as Divisional Director of Retail, responsible for the strategic direction of some of the Group's leading events including Spring Fair International, Pure London and Jewellery & Watch. With an exhibitions career spanning more than 20 years, Louise's understanding of the competitive landscape and her detailed knowledge of i2i's retail brands make her the ideal choice to drive the portfolio's growth going forward. This internal appointment takes place with immediate effect.
An external appointment has also been made; Clarice Neves Borges joins i2i as Group Operations Director with a remit covering internal operational processes and system infrastructures as well as external event operations. Clarice has both an in-house and consultancy background, most recently at consulting firm A.T. Kearney but also including 10 years at Unilever, and is an internationally experienced business strategist and transformation advisor, bringing both operational know-how and strategic thinking to her new role. This appointment will take effect from 27th May 2014.
In addition to these new appointments to the executive team, earlier this year i2i also appointed Sarah Porter as Divisional Director, Broadcasting & Environment, with responsibility for market leading brands including RWM and BVE.  Sarah has a strong commercial background and many years exhibition industry experience with companies including Miller Freeman, UBM and Reed Exhibitions.
