i2iÂ's energy events, RWM, The Energy Event, The Renewables Event and The Water Event enjoy successful 2013 editions

i2i Events Group's portfolio of leading energy events, RWM (Resource Efficiency & Waste Management Solutions, organised in partnership with CIWM), The Energy Event, The Renewables Event and The Water Event, took place at the NEC Birmingham from 10 – 12 September 2013 with all the events closing to excellent reviews.

Record breaking re-booking means a move to larger halls for RWM 2014

RWM, offering Europe's most comprehensive range of resource and waste management products and solutions, confirmed its continuing success with some 13,000 visitors and 750 exhibitors taking part. The 2013 edition also offered its strongest conference programme to date with 5 theatres and more than 150 expert speakers chosen for their ground-breaking ideas, extensive experience and international reputations.   Speakers included Lord Robert Winston, Professor of Science and Society and Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College London; Louis Lindeberg, Global Packaging Sustainability Director at Unilever; Dr Anne Roulin, Global Head of Sustainability/Packaging at Nestlé and representatives from Hewlett Packard, DEFRA, Procter & Gamble and the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, to name but a few.  Such was the positive response to the 2013 edition, with record breaking on-site re-bookings, that RWM will be moving into larger halls within the NEC for the 2014 event.

Over 6,000 visitors attend The Energy Event and sister events The Renewables Event and The Water Event

The Energy Event 2013 confirmed its status as the UK's leading destination for energy efficiency, management and procurement with keynote presentations from UK energy leaders including Edward Davey MP, Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change; economist and University of Oxford Professor Dieter Helm; eco-adventurer Andy Pag and journalist Paul Mason amongst many others.   Now supported by specialist sister events to meet visitor demand for green energy and water efficiency, The Energy Event offered access to over 130 exhibitors and welcomed over 6,000 visitors.

The Renewables Event, which was launched in 2012, celebrated a second successful year reflecting the growing demand for an event focused solely on onsite renewable energy generation solutions for business and public sector energy users.  The event included a series of CPD certified seminars and more than 80 expert speakers who focused on the latest technologies, legislation and advice for businesses looking to create their own onsite renewable energy.

The Water Event, supported by WaterWise, was co-located with the Renewables and Energy events and was considered to have been a resounding success.  As the UK's first dedicated water efficiency and management exhibition it was supported by many leading water companies including Thames Water Commercial Services, Severn Trent Costain, Anglian Water Business, Business Stream and United Utilities.  The Water Event Conference was designed to bring together environmental, water industry, government and business efficiency thought leaders and was crafted to offer a balance of debate, policy advice and case studies.  Richard Benyon MP, Minister for Natural Environment and Fisheries, Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs gave the keynote address and more than 30 speakers from the major water companies as well as from Molson Coors, Sainsbury's and Whitbread, amongst others, also took part.

Dan Thurlow, Portfolio Director for the environment events at i2i Events Group commented, “We have been delighted with the response to our energy events this year and their continued success illustrates just how important these issues are to both private and public sector organisations.  By bringing the individual events together we are able to provide the ideal platform on which to address the ‘bigger picture' debate on energy and renewables.â€'
