Bett series continues success of established events and new launches in the Middle East and Malaysia in 2016

i2i Events Group's leading global series brand, Bett, saw continued success in 2015 and is set for further development in 2016, with new international events planned for Abu Dhabi in April and Malaysia in November.

The Bett global series is rooted in the success of the London based edition, which over its 32 year history has evolved into the world's meeting place for those passionate about technology and education.  Following i2i's acquisition of Educar/Educador in 2013, the Bett brand went international with the launch of the Bett Leadership Summit in Sao Paulo, followed by the successful Bett Brasil exhibition in 2014 and the Latin American Leadership Summit in Mexico City in 2015.

The brand also launched in Asia in 2014, with the Bett Asia Leadership Summit in Singapore.  This leading regional event is now moving to its new home of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November 2016, supported by the Malaysia Ministry of Education and endorsed by the National Association of Private Educational Institutions.   UK Trade and Investment is also supporting the event, 2016 being a landmark year for British government relations with Malaysia, as it becomes the hub for promoting British education in the ASEAN region.

An exciting new launch for 2016 is the Bett Middle East Leadership Summit and Exhibition taking place from 6 – 7 April at ADNEC Abu Dhabi.  Held in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Education Council, the event will bring together education leaders and technology buyers to discuss the transformation of education in the region and the role of innovation and technology in improving outcomes for students.  With governments in the region investing in education to accelerate the transition to a knowledge based economy and a growing private and international school market, Abu Dhabi is fast becoming a centre of educational excellence, with ambitious reforms in place as part of its ‘Vision 2030' programme.

Such has been the international success of Bett, that in September 2015 i2i Events Group announced a global collaboration between Bett and Microsoft, enabling them to work together as ‘worldwide partners' to deliver inspiring content at all Bett events, that shares next generation ideas and innovative technology based classroom practices.  Bett also recently announced a new partnership with the world's largest network of teachers, the TES, which sees the TES take on the role of ‘global knowledge partner' across all Bett events.

Mark Shashoua, CEO i2i Events Group, comments, “The continued success and expansion of our Bett brand underlines our corporate objectives to further develop our international presence and maximise customer returns by continuously improving the quality of our audiences and the speed and ease with which these audiences can connect with i2i customers in dynamic environments.  I look forward to the launch of our exciting new Bett events in 2016 and to the continued success of our established events and our global partnerships.â€'
