With a background spanning global brands such as The Walt Disney Company, Samsung, and Sony, Simon brings a unique, consumer-focused perspective rooted in FMCG and commercial marketing. This experience has shaped his belief that the future of exhibitions must be more visitor- and marketing-led to remain relevant and competitive.
Simon is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion across the industry. Under his leadership, Messe Frankfurt UK has built a leadership team that is 50% women, with 75% of the company also represented by women—demonstrating a tangible commitment to change.
His experience outside the traditional exhibition landscape, combined with deep insight into international markets through the Messe Frankfurt global network, allows Simon to offer a fresh viewpoint and strategic thinking to industry challenges. As a board member of the AEO, he aims to bring new energy, broaden perspectives, and support innovation that benefits organisers of all sizes.
