The Talent Group is tasked with representing the AEO’s Talent Pillar on behalf of all members within the association. Its overarching strategy is to Attract, Assess and Retain talent, with the aim to provide the industry with a wealth of diverse, quality candidates that have chosen events as a first choice career
A statement from the group chairs
“We expect to see an evolution in Talent in 2021 as a result of the current pandemic. Digital is here to stay and will be forming part of many business strategies going forward, so we as the AEO Talent group will be exploring what we can do to support this and identify the skills that members need to have in place to cope with this shift.
This is seen as one of the few positive outputs from the current situation, as it will open up doors to attract new talent and raise the profile of the industry to become an even more desirable career choice.
However, we want to remain loyal to those who may have lost their current position and look forward to reaching out to them in the new year with our new “Keep In Touch” campaign, due to launch in January.We felt it was important for them to feel recognised and appreciated, giving them access to support tools and training that – hopefully – means we can see them on the other side.”
Who is it for?
This group is for individuals at Director/Senior Management level, but form all facets of the business to identify the needs of individual departments. Members of HR are also encouraged to attend from a recruitment and process perspective.
