i2i Events Group targets growth in the Indian market with the appointment of a new Country Manager

18 Feb 2013

i2i Events Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Tulika Sen as Country Manager for India.

As Country Manager, Sen will be responsible for managing operations and developing existing and new business opportunities. The first event to be managed by the team will be the 4th edition of the market leading Coil Winding, Insulation and Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition (CWIEME) in Bangalore in November 2013. This follows i2i's purchase of the CWIEME portfolio in September 2012.

"We are delighted to welcome Tulika to i2i Events Group and look forward to working with her and her team to develop i2i's position on the Indian market," says Gordon Payne, i2i Events Group International Director. "She has many years of valuable experience launching, managing and developing international events in India, across several market sectors, and we are confident that this appointment will bring significant benefits to our plans for the market. This is the latest development in our ambitious international growth strategy and adds India to our list of overseas offices, which already includes China, USA, Brazil, Turkey, France, Italy, Germany and Spain. "

Commenting on her new role, Tulika Sen says, "Working with i2i is a great opportunity and I look forward to contributing to their ambitious plans for India and to bringing excellent exhibitions and events to the market."

Sen has an impressive background in the industry having previously worked for International Trade and Exhibitions India, Montgomery India, Expomedia Events India and Business Standard, amongst others, on events including Paperex, India's largest metal event MMMM and the India Banking Summit to name but a few. Her appointment takes place with immediate effect.
