i2i Events Group and UKTI strengthen their partnership and extend agreement into 2014

31 Oct 2013

i2i Events Group and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) are delighted to announce a strengthening and extension of their partnership agreement.  The agreement will now cover events into 2014 and will see official UKTI participation at Bett, Pure London, Spring Fair and The Education Show, amongst others, in addition to sectors previously agreed for 2013.

The partnership between i2i and UKTI primarily aims to inspire and support UK based SMEs in their efforts to succeed internationally, establish a foothold in new markets and capitalise further on existing business opportunities.  By working as i2i's International Business Partner, UKTI will be able to provide UK companies an entry point to international markets and offer them a number of pre-event and on-site benefits.  These could include networking opportunities at buyer receptions and on-site showcases, pre-event support in the form of inspirational content delivered in a face-to-face setting or in report format, as well as hosted buyer programmes to bring in relevant buyers to UK events.  Additional marketing support and promotional activities will also be offered to UKTI participants to highlight their presence at i2i events, as part of a ‘best of British' remit.

A key focus of the new partnership will be to increase the number of international buyers attending i2i events. UKTI has an extensive network of professional advisers both within the UK and across more than 100 international markets, and by combining this reach with the global contacts of i2i, new international buyers will be brought to the events giving UKTI participants access to an even broader base of prospective customers.

Robert Driver, Director of Technology, Innovation & Events UKTI, says, “We are delighted to announce this strengthening of our partnership with i2i Events Group.  We believe that this partnership will bring huge advantages to UK companies in their plans to take their products and services global, and we look forward to working closely with them to achieve their goals.â€'

Mark Shashoua, CEO i2i Events Group comments, “We have already worked very successfully with UKTI on a number of i2i events and I am delighted that we have been able to strengthen and extend our partnership into 2014.  i2i Events Group is dedicated to enhancing customer value and proud to open up a world of possibility for the global decision makers who comprise our customers.  This agreement with UKTI will enable us to further support our UK customer base and promote UK business on a global stage.â€'
