Wednesday, March 15, 2017 — Starting from next 26-29 November, the solar industry will earn a new dedicated event at the Dubai World Trade Centre to meet the growing demand of environmentally sustainable solutions in the Middle East market.

Against a backdrop of over three decades of unrivalled construction shows, and a plurennial experience in solar events attracting more than 4,000 key buyers from over 65 countries, dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa announced the launch of the first Big 5 Solar in 2017, co-located with The Big 5.

No longer involved in the organisation of any Intersolar Middle East event and related conferences, dmg events, the organiser of the largest, most influential and renowned construction event in the MENA region, will introduce its newest addition to The Big 5 portfolio later this year, catering to the needs of both the solar and the construction industries.

The Big 5 Solar 2017 is set to become the premier platform for solar industry professionals to network, learn and do business in the Middle East. The Big 5's broad international audience from 142 countries will ensure a strong solar event, further complemented by hundreds of decision makers and professionals that will gather to discuss the present and future of solar technologies in the Middle East at the Global Solar Leaders' Summit, The Big 5 Solar's high-level conference.

“With rooftop solar output growing more than 1,100% over a 1-year period, from 6MW in 2016 to 70MW by the end of 2017, in the UAE, the scope for collaboration between the construction and the solar industries is immense,â€' Event Director, Josine Heijmans, stated. “Virtually, there's no building project where solar can't be incorporated, thus an early integration of solar and construction elements is the way forward to a more sustainable built environmentâ€'.

More than just a conference, the event will be the ultimate showcase of solar technologies from leading PV manufacturing countries like Germany, Italy, China, India and Turkey as well as from the GCC region. The Big 5 Solar 2017 will also offer a series of free to attend CPD-certified workshops delivered by international experts sharing cutting-edge insights on solar technologies, projects and industry best practices.
