AEO - Association of event organisers

30 Apr 2019 by: Completely Events

Informa Markets, organiser of the Cityscape real estate events across the Middle East and North African region, has signed an agreement with The Completely Group to jointly organise Cityscape Marketplace UK.

The event, which will be held on the 29th and 30th April 2020 at London's iconic Old Billingsgate Market, is expected to connect over 70 international exhibitors – from the combined arsenal of the Cityscape group and The Completely Group – with thousands of UK and international investors looking for partnerships and investment opportunities spanning the real estate spectrum.

The two-day event will adopt the easily accessible format that has made one of The Completely Group's biggest events, Completely Retail Marketplace, a success following its launch in London in 2012; this success has since been repeated in a growing number of European markets, including The Nordics, Iberia, and CEE. While Cityscape has become the leading real estate event brand in the Middle East and North African region, running ten exhibitions annually, including its flagship event in Dubai.

Leveraging both organisers' knowledge of the real estate industry, the deal-driven event will cover all real estate sectors with an emphasis on commercial real estate investment. Exhibitors representing Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Egypt, Turkey, U.S., and Cyprus are among the international participants expected at next year's show alongside leading UK-based exhibitors.

Dom Millar, CEO of The Completely Group said: “We are extremely excited about this new venture with Cityscape and the opportunities it will bring to the UK and to real estate businesses at home and abroad. Overseas investors are learning that there's never been a better time to help foster growth and regeneration across the UK, and Cityscape Marketplace UK will provide the perfect environment for visitors to discover exciting new projects and help forge lasting partnerships.â€'

Tom Rhodes, Exhibition Director at Cityscape agrees. “This is the first time that the Cityscape brand will be launching in the UK and we're excited to partner with The Completely Group to leverage our capabilities and the strength of our real estate brands. With the meteoric rise of the global real estate investor coupled with the resilience of real estate markets, our show next year will enable industry professionals and investors to engage with each other at the sharp end of the business, understand and seize opportunities, and network for future growth.â€'

Next year's show will also include a knowledge platform consisting of a series of seminars and panel discussions which will put UK investment under the spotlight. The seminars cover a range of topics including: Opportunities across all asset classes in the UK real estate market; National and local government incentives; The UK's most attractive cities and areas of opportunities; Legal, tax and cultural considerations of investing in the UK.

This will be the first time that Cityscape and The Completely Group will be working together; the event is expected to attract investors - not only from the UK - but around the world with a keen focus on investors from the various regions that Cityscape operates in looking for investment opportunities and partnerships. Next year's event will also see leading private and public sector authorities seeking investment partners, residential and commercial real estate capital market brokers, finance companies, and real estate law firms.
