Bett establishes a presence in the Middle East with successful event in Abu Dhabi

Bett, a leading global technology exhibition and congress series for teaching and learning related data and management tools, has established a presence in the Middle East market with the launch of the Bett Middle East Leadership Summit and Exhibition.  Held in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), the event welcomed over 1,300 influential education leaders and technology buyers and 24 exhibitors.


Delegations represented more than 35 countries, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Nigeria, USA, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Iran, South Africa, Turkey and Lebanon.

Rooted in the success of the London edition of Bett, which over its 32 year history has become a leading global education technology exhibition and congress, the brand has been expanding its geographic footprint in recent years.  Its first international edition, Bett Latin America Leadership Summit, took place in 2013 in Brazil.  This was followed by the Bett Asia Leadership Summit in Singapore in 2014, and this year Bett expanded further with the Bett Middle East Leadership Summit and Exhibition, which took place from 6 – 7 April at the Intercontinental, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.  
Bett Middle East featured a closed door conference for VIP education buyers and a ‘touch and feel' exhibition area, which was open to all educators and featured demonstrations and teaching workshops.  115 speakers took part in the Leadership Summit, with key speakers including HE Dr. Ali Al Nuaimi, Director General Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC); Philip Parham, British Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates; Haif Bannayan, CEO Queen Rania Teacher Academy and representatives from the Ministry of Education Bahrain, Ministry of National Education Turkey, Finnish National Board of Education and The Global Future Education Foundation & Institute USA.   High profile attendees included the State Minister for General Education, UAE; Director of Education Services, Prime Minister's Office, Lebanon; Advisor to the Minister of Education, Saudi Arabia and Minister for Education, South Africa.  Bett Middle East's lead sponsor was Microsoft, Bett's worldwide partner.
