The Opportunity:

  • Brands: Design Shanghai and Design China Beijing
  • Reporting Manager:  Show Director, Design Shanghai and Design China Beijing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, calling and qualifying relevant brands for relevant sponsorship assets, ensuring that the quality of sponsor is kept at the highest achievable level
  • Develop and grow the existing client base and spend through actively and intelligently seeking new business
  • Develop sponsorship packages that deliver both the objectives of the client and substantial long-term revenue for the event(s)
  • Present to Board level, Marketing Directors, client and agency
  • Report on a weekly basis to event director regarding the brands you have connected with
  • Prepare sponsorship contract including specific schedules & timelines
  • Communicate with the show management, stand sales, marketing and features teams ensuring the sponsorship inventory is deliverable
  • Communicate with Partnership Delivery Executive to ensure timelines and schedules are produced accurately
  • Ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Ensure expected call rates are achieved consistently (15 calls over 8 minutes or meetings per week)
  • Work with the Partnership Delivery Executive to manage clients before, during, and after the show
  • Work with the Partnership Delivery Executive to keep sponsors up to date on any show activity that may affect them whether this be in a positive or negative light and manage accordingly
  • Communicate with credit control to ensure all contracts are fully paid prior to the event
  • Working with the Partnership Delivery Executive - Onsite account management to ensure sponsors have a smooth build and that any problems that arise are dealt with in a professional, timely manner
  • Working with the Partnership Delivery Executive to ensure the sponsor receives an after show report and press clippings on time
  • Working with the Partnership Delivery Executive to proof read and approve e-newsletters and all logos on signage and marketing materials
  • Use the Teamworks project management function proficiently ensuring communications are updated
  • Ensure all new business is followed up and turned in to repeat business
  • Ensure that the in-house database (Salesforce) is up to date with contacts, comments and new leads
  • Engage fully in training and development
  • Be present at all events that you work on, irrespective of the fact they overlap into a weekend
  • Ensure accurate and responsible admin for all sponsorship bookings
  • Securing face to face meetings
  • Preparing proposals and presentations
  • Represent your event and the company at all times in a professional manner, ensuring brand integrity
  • Champion the sponsorship function internally to encourage staff development in this area
  • Respond to client queries in a timely manner
  • Support other team members as and when required, and maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the role and the company.
