The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for contributing to and executing marketing strategy and tactics for ICE London – the largest exhibition in the UK – as well as a number of other large-scale trade shows.

Candidate Requirements:

  • An experienced marketing professional, able to create and execute effective marketing strategies based on the SOSTAC model
  • Deep understanding of offline and online marketing channels, and a proactive willingness to add to their knowledge
  • Understanding of effective delprom, visprom and exprom strategies that deliver results and ROI
  • A commercially driven professional, motivated by hitting financial targets and able to create solutions to ensure they are met
  • Flexible and open to changes to their portfolio, methods of working and management duties where necessary
  • Excellent time management and scheduling skills, able to give clear deadlines for all activities and hit them every time
  • A hands-on marketer, willing to assist with the delivery of marketing tactics where necessary
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator, able to deliver effective messages in a way that colleagues and customers understand and action
  • Able to develop a deep understanding of gaming industry and the customer landscape to create effective segmentation and positioning strategies
  • Able to manage multiple projects at once, and switch between them as necessary
  • Self-motivated, innovative and creative

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and execute marketing strategies across a growing portfolio of events (subject to changes where necessary) following the SOSTAC planning model, to achieve exprom, delprom and visprom targets
  • Coordinate marketing schedules to ensure activities are delivered as agreed and on time
  • Contribute to and lead on creative campaigns and brand themes, focused on maximising impact and delivering ROI
  • Represent marketing in product and wider Clarion meetings where necessary, ensuring teams are well-informed on activities and contributing to new initiatives
  • Deliver reports where necessary and develop insights to inform product or group marketing strategies
  • Continually developing a deep knowledge of the industry and its customers, enabling effective segmentation and positioning strategies, whilst setting an example of the wider team
  • A brand champion for their portfolio of products, ensuring all activities follow brand guidelines for design and tone of voice
  • Upholding the reputation of the marketing department, acting on feedback and ensuring misconceptions are challenged
  • Be an advocate for Clarion Gaming's brand vision, assisting the management team in inspiring internal and external stakeholders
  • Help with the execution of marketing activities to deliver campaigns to deadline
  • Responsibility of marketing budgets for their portfolio of products

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Previous experience marketing large-scale exhibitions
  • Deep understanding of developing marketing strategies for conferences and exhibitions
  • Deep understanding of offline and online marketing channels
  • Experience with Pardot, Salesforce or equivalent marketing systems
  • Good computer and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in using a variety of IT programmes, including project management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
