The Opportunity:

A vacancy has arisen for a dynamic Marketing Executive in Clarion's Enthusiast department across the Spirit and Arts portfolio, which includes the House & Garden Festival, Spirit of Christmas Fair, The Luxury Travel Fair and the two Art & Antiques Fairs Olympia.

The scale of this portfolio of ‘best in market' events attracts over 1,500 exhibitors, from small boutiques and specialist dealers, to established travel brands across retail, interiors, art and antiques, and travel. Each is vetted to guarantee quality and authenticity which ensures our event's product content is unrivalled and held in high regard within the market. Key media brand partnerships supporting these events include House & Garden, Conde Nast Traveller and The Times & Sunday Times.

The Marketing Executive will assist the Marketing Communications Manager and Marketing Manager with the implementation of the event's marketing campaign. They will report into the Marketing Communications Manager who will continue to provide them with leadership, support, and guidance on campaign implementation as well as personal development support to enable the right candidate the opportunity to grow within the portfolio.

The Candidate:

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, articulate, and dedicated Marketing Executive to assist the Marketing Communications Manager and Marketing Manager to deliver a highly focused and powerful marketing campaign. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the factors that drive the Art & Antiques market, including interiors and luxury retail market, and will have a good understanding of the marketing disciplines.

Previous experience as a Marketing Executive is required for this role, and it would be beneficial, but not essential, to also have experience in the art and antiques market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of promotional campaigns for marketing each event to achieve stated objectives
  • Assist in the organisation of all promotional activities, ensuring they are carried out efficiently and within agreed budgets
  • Work closely with in-house design team to create artwork as required in line with event branding
  • Write copy in line with developed event branding
  • Build, implement, and report on email campaigns in Pardot (CRM system)
  • Administer processes to comply with the data strategy and implementation of all Direct Marketing
  • Liaise and build good communication with exhibitors to maximize promotional opportunities and instill confidence in marketing campaign
  • General liaison with PR agency
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes (marketing manual requests, e-tickets, update daily ticket reports, GA/Digital reporting etc.)
  • Build, maintain and coordinate marketing partnerships
  • Assist in building a programme of specialist talks
  • Support Managers in the market intelligence gathering process
  • Manage and maintain product websites, and contribute to their ongoing development
  • Provide the Marketing Manager with on-going and comprehensive post campaign reports and recommendations for future improvements
  • Remain up-to-date with latest communications tools and continuously assess their deployment to improve marketing effectiveness

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of the core marketing disciplines and what each can deliver
  • Previous experience of updating and maintaining websites
  • Thorough knowledge of company's products
  • A good understanding of the marketing disciplines
  • Understanding of databases and segmentation techniques
  • Analytical approach with an understanding of tracking and response reporting
  • A knowledge of both on and offline marketing
  • Ideally have previous experience of building email campaigns in Pardot
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail
