The Opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and organized Marketing Assistant to join EnergyNet’s growing marketing team. The successful candidate will help to plan, organise and execute the marketing campaign for the company’s flagship event, the Africa Energy Forum. This role will involve working on all aspects of the marketing campaign from data entry to copy writing, updating websites, and working with media partners as well as looking after the administration requirements of the team.

The Candidate:

Supported by the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be highly organized with a head for detail, and an excellent team player with bags of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adding event enquiries to the CRM system to ensure they reach the sales team
  • Executing all partner activities to help the event reach new audiences
  • Assisting with the design, production and distribution of all promotional materials relating to the event
  • Implementing sponsor and exhibitor marketing campaigns
  • Creation of Pardot assets such as landing pages, forms, lists and autoresponder emails to support the campaign
  • Maintaining and updating conference websites
  • Raising POs and receipts for suppliers
  • Assisting with the PR activity relating to the conference portfolio, researching material for press releases, building relationships with relevant press and partners
  • Carrying out competitor analysis to identify potential threats and opportunities

  • A keen interest in developing a Marketing career
