PLASA is the lead trade association for the entertainment technology sector, spanning the worlds of concert and touring, live events, theatre and broadcast to name but a few. The association owns and runs successful trade events (including the flagship PLASA Show) and publishes the industry-leading magazine Light & Sound international which is read by professionals in over 120 countries.

The role

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Sales Executive working across PLASA’s portfolio of events. You will ensure revenue targets are met, relationships with clients are strengthened and new business opportunities are actively identified.

PLASA’s head office is in Eastbourne, however for the right candidate the role can be undertaken as remote working with occasional travel to Eastbourne.

Main focus of the role:

  • Working as a key member of the sales team to ensure revenue targets are met across events
  • Managing a portfolio of accounts, developing strong relationships with key decision makers
  • Proactively sourcing and developing relationships with new clients
  • Consistently achieving your personal and overall event sales targets
  • Travelling regularly to meet customers at other exhibitions and customer visits (may include international travel and overnight stays)
  • Accurately recording all sales activities on Salesforce CRM system, producing reports, and keeping floorplans up-to-date
  • Working closely with other members of the show team to jointly develop the event

The candidate should have:

  • At least two years’ experience in a sales-based role, ideally working in exhibitions
  • A passion for sales, with a hunger to reach and exceed targets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with clients
  • Good IT skills and experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM system
