Conference Development & Strategy 

• Work with the Head of Marketing and Portfolio Director to develop the Portfolio Education Strategy
• Work with the Head of Marketing, Event Managers and portfolio Marketing Managers on strategic development of the event programmes
• Develop consistency of planning and implementing across the portfolio
• Develop consistency of reporting and analysis across the events programme  
• Keep up to date with broader developments within the industries served
• Build understanding of key conference topics and awareness of how they relate to the event(s)
• Conduct research to develop strong knowledge of industry sectors through desktop research, surveys, telephone interviews, advisory groups, external client meetings and visits to other events;
• Shape the overall intellectual content of conference agendas based on the results of this extensive research and the needs of the event strategy
• Investigate and generate new topic ideas in alignment with industry trends to create conference agendas that meet the needs of the target audiences
• Liaise with industry trade associations and other third parties to evaluate how their own content may be incorporated into our programmes , creating a platform for our key industry partners  
• Regularly attend industry events both in the UK and internationally to network, meet potential speakers, build industry awareness and act as an ambassador to the portfolio

This position requires an articulate, enthusiastic, creative, hardworking team player with a proven track record in conference production or content delivery, preferably in the meetings / travel industry

• Solid experience as a conference producer
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Strong research and analysis skills
• Strong interpersonal, relationship building and verbal and written communication skills
• Strong influencing and diplomacy skills
• Excellent copy-writing skills
• Able to work under pressure and prepared to focus all efforts to meet deadlines
• Able to work autonomously and but also as part of a wider team with key internal and external stakeholders
• Highly organised ,  able to multi-task and lead projects independently
• Meticulous attention to detail
