The Opportunity:

Easyfairs has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Assistant to join a growing team responsible for driving strategic growth of this fast-growing business.

Since its launch in 2004, Easyfairs has expanded rapidly and has grown to become one of the top 10 exhibition organisers globally. Much of that growth has come through acquisition and the successful candidate will play a key role in the future development strategy.

Covering the UK&Global region (UK, France, Iberia and Algeria) the role will report directly to the Head of Business Development (UKG). It is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate that is analytically minded and a strong communicator. Any relevant internships/ professional experience is a plus.

About the role:

The main focus of this dynamic role is to support the Head of Business Development (UKG) in:

  • Screening markets to identify potential acquisition opportunities
  • Co-ordinating and monitoring data on potential acquisitions
  • Visiting events and conducting research amongst key stake holder groups
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations for the Easyfairs M&A Board
  • Assisting in the commercial due diligence of selected events.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Recent graduate, ideally with professional experience, preferably in an event environment though this is not essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Critical thinker
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Meticulous and consistent attention to detail
  • Ability to hit deadlines and work under pressure
  • Curiosity - the want to know why and the drive to find out
  • Technical competence and experience in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • English must be fluent and possess high standards of communication and organisation
  • Positive attitude and commitment
