Clarion Events and Bauer Media join forces to present exclusive new movie experience

‘Empire presents….BIG SCREEN’ event first of its kind, offers live behind-the-scenes insight into film.

Clarion Events has announced a new strategic alliance with Bauer Media, publishers of Empire, the world’s biggest selling movie magazine. The result is the launch of Empire presents…BIG SCREEN, a major new entertainment live event. Staged at London’s O₂ from the 12-14 August 2011, Empire presents…BIG SCREEN will give visitors a unique opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes insight to the exciting world of entertainment and to mix with creators of the movies.

The event is the first major one of its kind in the UK and shows Clarion Events’ commitment to expanding its consumer portfolio via innovative offerings, commercial partnerships, brand extensions and new launches. Following on from the recent announcement of a series of the first public shows at Bluewater Shopping centre, Empire presents…BIG SCREEN also breaks new ground as the organiser’s first at The O2.

The show will contain a diverse and stimulating mix of experiences, including the chance to see exclusive preview screenings of upcoming movie blockbusters, movie premieres and personal appearances by film-makers and cast members (including autograph signings). The names behind film will host masterclasses, allowing the audience to take part in interactive Q & A sessions.

A dedicated special effects arena will feature live action theatre, alongside a technology showcase revealing the best of big screen innovation. The visiting public will also be able to see props and costumes from the films themselves and take home any number of items from the large range of merchandise for sale.
