Montgomery Worldwide Launch Montgomery Africa – a Company Designed for International Joint Ventures in Africa

Montgomery Worldwide has officially launched a new arm to its business which has been called Montgomery Africa (Pty) Ltd. This new venture, based in Johannesburg, is specifically designed to work with international companies who have established brands which they want to launch into South Africa and in some cases the wider African market.

Montgomery Africa specialises in joint ventures and acts as a partner to those international companies who want a more risk averse and cost efficient way of entering and developing their events in Africa. Rather than having to risk the expense of setting up their own offices and investing in new infrastructure - not to mention having to comply with and manage the comprehensive legal and statutory processes - companies can easily partner with Montgomery Africa and be provided with all the expertise, staffing and local knowledge they need to launch a new show. Montgomery Africa has a team of trained event specialists specifically tasked to manage foreign partner?s requirements and to ensure their brands are fully protected.

Damion Angus, Managing Director of Montgomery Worldwide said “Africa can be a difficult continent to do business in and Montgomery Africa has been set up as an efficient vehicle for those wanting to „dip their toe? into this exciting and lucrative market. Having worked throughout Africa for over forty years, we are extremely well placed to help companies launch new shows in this territory and can use our contacts and expertise to leverage the best deals and ensure events stand the best chance of success”.

Montgomery Africa is already working with various international partners launching, managing and maintaining their events. Grant Mills, Managing Director of Montgomery Africa added, “Whilst we have been developing this company for some time, we have built a business model which we believe can service our partners needs and help them enter this market with limited and calculated risk”.

Montgomery Worldwide proudly own Montgomery Africa?s sister company Specialised Exhibitions which is the largest trade show organiser in South Africa and which runs shows such as Electra Mining, Interbuild and Propak. Specialised has been in the group?s stable for the last forty three years. Montgomery Worldwide is also the main shareholder in the Johannesburg Expo Centre which owns some of South Africa?s biggest events including the Rand Easter Show and Johannesburg Motor Show.
