David Audrain appointed president & CEO of Clarion Events North America
Clarion Events today announced that David Audrain will assume the newly-created position of President & CEO of Clarion Events North America. In this role Audrain will be responsible for the development and management of all of Clarion Events business in North America.
“North America is our number one target growth market, and with almost 20 years experience in the North American exhibition industry Audrain is the perfect person to help us expand our business into this market, including targeting management contracts,” commented Simon Kimble, CEO of Clarion Events Ltd.
Audrain has just completed more than six years as President & CEO of Messe Frankfurt North America, responsible there for the development and growth of a very successful portfolio of nine exhibitions in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Prior to 2006 Audrain held executive management roles with well-known international exhibition companies, including Advanstar, Hanley Wood and Miller Freeman.
David Audrain stated: “The American market remains the largest and most important economy in the world and presents a tremendous growth opportunity for Clarion Events. I’m extremely pleased to be joining Clarion on this exciting expansion into North America”.
Clarion Events has made some initial inroads into the American market to date, the latest being the recent launch of an American edition of their highly successful “Counter Terror Expo” under the direction of Vice President Wayne Crawford in Washington DC. The company will now be looking at a broad base of opportunities for growth, including acquisitions and further launches.
