The AEO Conference 2008 took place on the 27 November and looked at the need to adapt our business models in order to grow as the commercial environment changes rapidly around us.
How is the media landscape changing, and where do events fit into it? What do we need to do to survive – and thrive – in a tough economic climate? How are organisers already adapting their business models successfully – and what are the lessons they’ve learned along the way? Are internet communities really where it’s at? Or should we focus on breaking new ground outside the UK? What can we learn from those that have been there, slipped up and come out the other side? And where do the ‘big guns’ see the industry moving in the next year?
