The AEO Conference 2008 looks at the need to adapt our business models in order to grow as the commercial environment changes rapidly around us.
How is the media landscape changing, and where do events fit into it? What do we need to do to survive – and thrive – in a tough economic climate? How are organisers already adapting their business models successfully – and what are the lessons they’ve learned along the way? Are internet communities really where it’s at? Or should we focus on breaking new ground outside the UK? What can we learn from those that have been there, slipped up and come out the other side? And where do the ‘big guns’ see the industry moving in the next year? Click here to read an outline of the programme.
All these questions and more will be addressed at the AEO Conference 2008, on 27 November at the Hilton Brighton Metropole.
Ah yes, back to Brighton: by popular demand the exhibition and events industry will descend once again on the seaside town, though the weather might be less conducive to taking a plunge than in previous years. The conference provides ‘time out’ for members to do some strategic thinking and consider what the year ahead might hold for the industry - and to network on the beach until the sun comes up!
Discounted hotel accommodation is available for delegates at the Hilton Brighton Metropole: click here to book your hotel room via the dedicated online booking system.
As in previous years, the day-long conference will be followed by a gala dinner hosted by the Hilton Brighton Metropole. Delegates will also be invited to attend an ‘ice breaker’ at Brighton Pier on the evening of 26 November, to make the most of the networking opportunities at the conference.
